Spiral Dynamics - Levels of Consciousness

Many people feel alone on their spiritual journey. Lost in society. Personally, I have always known that I was different. Sharing different perspectives is what allows us to learn and evolve as long as we are open-minded. For a great deal of my life, I struggled to find others that shared my perspectives and when I couldn't relate to most people, I became discouraged, depressed and angry. Never fully comfortable with the way things were, I knew there was more to life and therefore could never settle and was constantly changing jobs, locations, friends and outlooks. I felt as though there may have been something wrong with my brain for being so different.

Sure enough, a few years ago after a few days of feeling depressed and angry, I went to a physician and was diagnosed with "bipolar disorder". This was deemed as a chemical imbalance and the condition was never described to me at all, but the doctor was quick to sell me anti-depressants that would apparently make things all better. After skeptically taking them for a few weeks, I did feel a change. It was as if negative thoughts were completely blocked from my mind, but I noticed that my creative thoughts were starting to become blocked as well. This scared me enough that I stopped taking the meds and figured I was better off naturally depressed then to take chemical drugs and be unnaturally happy. It was a discouraging thought to think I was chemically imbalanced which actually wasn't the case at all.

After doing some research on Bipolar disorder, all of the information told me that it was a chemical imbalance that caused Manic (extreme happy) and Depressive (extreme sadness/anger) states and could not be cured. If there's no cure then why the hell would they have given me drugs for it? I've always got the feeling that doctors don't actually care about their patients as much as they care about their paychecks... meaning that they in a sense get comission from the major drug companies off of the perscriptions they write. When it comes to so-called "mental disorders" there actually isn't many helpful resources that western society provides for such people. It's either take meds and turn into virtual zombies that are incapable of thinking for themselves, or risk ending up in jail or a mental institution for being different and expressing yourself as you want to. Both paths seemed wrong to me and I started to question my own mental health as a result of it. Even up until last year where I had a "spiritual awakening" I thought that my "bipolar disorder" was something that would get in the way of my own spiritual growth, but it may actually be the cause of it in the first place.

Recently, I've come across a concept called Spiral Dynamics which classifies people into categories of consciousness which can be changed with a spiritual awakening or simply by changing the way one percieves the world. There are said to be (at this point in time) seven levels of consciousness that people on this planet are at. I will identify each level and describe them in my own words:

1. ARCHAIC: A very basic level of consciousness where the individual is solely focussed on survival by instincts. People on this level such as infants or cavemen, have a limited mind capacity and are operating on basic animal impulses to eat and reproduce.

2. TRIBAL: The second lowest form of consciousness can be seen in ancient tribal cultures (and some that still exist today). These individuals see the world as magic that is controlled by the Gods which could be good or evil. They perform sacrifices to please their "gods" and generally can't come to understand anything that is unfamiliar to them. Not many of these people exist in our day-to-day culture.

3. FEUDAL: There are feudal types of people that exist today in every society. Usually the less-educated or troubled people that are constantly demanding respect through violence and confrontation. The type of person to end up in jail over and over again and never seems to learn any lessons. These individuals often have no self respect and will abuse drugs and alcohol and will clearly show that they are convinced that their way of doing things is best. Like every level though, there is the chance for improvement and even a spiritual awakening, but people stuck at this level are usually less likely to make any progress in developing their own consciousness.

4. TRADITIONAL: I look at this as the "old-fashioned" ways of life. Deeply RELIGIOUS (not spiritual) people fall into this category. People that dedicate their lives to pleasing God, Jesus, or whatever religious icon they prefer. This way of thinking is not necessarily a bad one, as religion teaches positive morals and pleasant ways to enjoy life, but these people are in a mindset of worshiping "god" instead of trying to become "god-like". These are not bad people by any means, but are simply not thinking for themselves as much as they could be, as they chose to live by someone else's rules and not their own. This is a comfortable way of life for many people so it's hard for them to think that everything they've been doing and believing in their entire lives wasn't the best possible way to live. Some may even realize this and think that it's too late to change. Much like the others, these people are usually convinced that their way of thinking is the best and that people on other levels of consciousness are simply wrong in their opinions.

5. MODERN: These are usually people who may have had a traditional upbringing but have questioned religion and realized through science that it probably wasn't the right path for them. People in this category are usually under the impression that money is the true measure of success and are often very materialistic. They will put little to no thought into any spiritual concepts unless they are somehow awakenened into a more advanced way of thinking. These types are usually very concerned with other people's opinions of them and are often quite superficial and skeptical.

6. POST-MODERN: These are people who have transcended the materialistic world that is driven by money and see a deeper meaning to life. These people are genuinely compassionate and care about larger-scope issues like the environment and spirituality. Generally intuitive and very open-minded, the post-modern thinker will be someone who sees other people's perspectives and usually can tell when someone is sincere. These are the people that will more likely "listen to their heart" instead of giving into what their peers are pressuring them to do, but still struggle socially as they see the flaws in the lower levels of consciousness and are constantly debating with them. (A good example is a peaceful bunch of "post-modern" thinkers rallying outside a government building full of "modern" thinkers in protest of their rules and morals). Although people in this higher realm of consciousness are certainly on the right track, many of them think that their way of thinking is the best, which causes conflict, isolation and also keeps them from evolving in their ways of thinking any further.

7. To understand level seven which is described as the "power of now" way of thinking, and to better understand the levels of consciousness that I've just described, please watch the following series of videos. They also discuss how mental "disorders" correspond with the different levels of consciousness and how those at higher levels of consciousness that experience "spiritual awakenings" are misinterprited by the Traditional and Modern (majority of) society as being "crazy" or chemically imbalanced. The symptoms of a spiritual awakening in the eyes of modern science are no more than symptoms of a mental disorder caused by that persons chemical imbalance. Pardon my language, but I think this is complete BULLSHIT.

Please watch the following videos as they helped me change my perspective and allowed me to track my progression of consciousness over my lifetime through understanding Spiral Dynamics.

Those who go crazy now and learn to live, will go on to help the others when they go crazy in 2012. I hope this post has been informitive and you find yourself stuck in one of these levels of consciousness, regardless of age or beliefs, it's never too late to change. You may have to forget everything you know about yourself and the way you see the world, but evolution is never a bad thing in the long-run.

Intelligent Design

In the case that you don't have over twelve hours to dedicate to the last 2 videos that I posted, I will attempt to sum up the general idea of what they are about.

The term "intelligent design" is often associated with the religious ideas that God (as a creature) has created everything the way we see it today. The vast complexity of our DNA suggests to scientists and religious types that there's no way this all just happened by accident. The human body is such an intricate and delicate mechanism and needs a perfect balance of environment to survive in. Just the simple fact that we exist today, is far too much of a coincidence to say that somehow we just evolved from nothing.

By this point, I'm sure that many people know that everything is made of energy when you break it down. The forces that hold together the atoms in a molecule are gravitational and that all matter (even solid concrete) is over 99% empty space. If we look at a larger scale, the planets that orbit the stars, solar systems that orbit galaxies, etc. we start to notice a vast number of connections between our universe and the subatomic particles that comprise everything we see and touch around us. This concept is described as the "fractal nature of the universe" by Nassim Haramein and suggests that each part contains the whole.

In my post entitled "Numeralspirituality" I describe that the only two numbers that actually matter are zero and infinity. I am not alone in my concepts, as there is much evidence to suggest that what is infinite to us (the universe) may actually just be zero (a minute tiny molecule) in some other vast dimension. Understanding the concept of the time/space fabric, factoring in size, we see that our tiny molecules move incredibly fast and seem random, while our planets and solar system move much slower and more predictably because of their vast size. Basically, time and space are interconnected and change with each other. Knowing this, we can then see that if we speed up the movements of our universe, they reflect the seemingly random patterns that we observe by looking at subatomic particles.

This fractal pattern of the universe changes our concept of creation but does not necessarily conflict with the concepts found in the Bible and other religious texts. By changing our concepts of what "God" is, suddenly the pieces fall into place a little bit better.

The universe has a way of arranging itself in the most efficient possible way. There are many naturally occurring patterns that we can observe from the Fibonacci/Golden Spirals found in pine cones, sea shells, plants, weather patterns and even the shapes of galaxies, to the way energy flows in waves which can be observed in the pattern of our DNA, to the ripple effect of throwing a stone into a still pond and the way sound travels and is detected by our bodies. By recognising all of these connections, we can better understand the universe and the way it arranges itself. This natural arrangement is what can be described as Intelligent Design.

There is a confusion amongst science and religion about "if God created us, then who created God?" A Christian's answer to that question is that God is eternal which is similar to the age-old "chicken and the egg" paradox. The fact of the matter is, there is an overwhelming amount of evidence that we are not alone in the universe and that since we use under 10% of our brain capacity and DNA, that there is a high potential for improvement and that there is most likely advanced lifeforms that not only share the galaxy with us, but could be responsible for a good portion of our technology and evolution as a species up to this point in time. Most, if not all religions talk about there being "angels" and "gods" from beyond the reaches of our planets that had the abilities to fly, heal, communicate telepathically, etc. These are merely tales of alien encounters and should be able to bridge the gap between science and religion instead of widen it.

The fact of the matter remains that if something created us, something must have created it and so forth which suggests that it is a never-ending eternal cycle. The way I see it is that in order for "something" to exist, it must have "nothing" to exist in. Meaning that if there wasn't something, there would be no nothing. Confusing? If we look at the chicken and the egg philosophy, neither one of them came first because both need each other in order to exist. This is the eternal, infinite nature of the universe and the other universes that are likely to exist as well.

If this information seems at all relevant to you, I highly suggest you watch the last two videos from David Wilcock who is more along the spiritual side but has a great understanding of science, and physicist Nassim Haramein who is constantly pushing the boundaries of our contemporary science with his extreme insight and logic. This post has only been the tip of the iceberg and all of this information is elaborated on in the two videos. I found that they bettered my understanding of the universe, which in turn betters my understanding of myself.

David Wilcock

"David Wilcock is a professional lecturer, filmmaker and researcher of ancient civilizations, consciousness science, and new paradigms of matter and energy. His upcoming Hollywood film CONVERGENCE unveils the proof that all life on Earth is united in a field of consciousness, which affects our minds in fascinating ways."

Nassim Haramein

The following video is a two-part, 8 hour presentation by Nassim Haramein.

"If you are not yet familiar with Nassim Haramein's exciting work, prepare yourself for an exhilarating odyssey into hyperspace and beyond. Haramein, who has spent his lifetime researching fields of physics from quantum theory to relativistic equations and cosmology, will lead you along a fascinating discussion geared to a layman's understanding of the fundamental nature of the universe and creation that includes black holes, gravitational forces, dimensions, and the very structure of space itself - all of which are integral parts of his now-complete Unified Field Theory. Haramein's theory is currently in peer review process for publication in physics journals; however, the presentation does not end with the introduction of his theory alone, but includes the discussion of the path that he took to arrive at his views, which weaves between the texts and monuments of ancient civilizations, biology, chemistry and the primordial role of consciousness - all of which lend further credence to the science behind the theory."

Alien Blood Rain in India

The following video documents a case in 2001 where it rained RED rain for up to two months in some reigons of India. After first being explained as dust particles which gave the rain it's unusual color, scientists decided to examine the substance closer only to discover that it contained strange cell-like organisms with a unique structure of DNA that suggests this form of life did not originate on our planet.

Keeping Your Pineal Gland Healthy

From a scientific or spiritual perspective, the Pineal Gland is still one of the body's great mysteries. It's main function is to produce a hormone called Melatonin which acts as an anti-depressant and can regulate sleep function in humans. It also produces a neurotransmitter called Dimethyltryptamine which is a natural hallucinogen and causes dreams and mystic encounters during near death experiences. When extracted from other organisms and consumed by humans, DMT is said to put one in touch with higher spiritual beings. More information can be found on my previous post entitled The Pineal Gland.

Keeping your "Third Eye" functional is crucial to evolve mentally, spiritually and physically. It is a gateway into other dimensions of matter and spiritual being and is said to be the house of your soul/spirit. Many who practice meditation are familiar with the Chakra system which is a string of key energy points running from the top of the head (crown chakra) down to the end of the spine (base chakra). The Pineal Gland is the second chakra located in the middle of your forehead and is referred to as the "Third Eye Chakra". It is said that intuition and psychic abilities are a result of having an active and healthy third eye.

Many people are unfamiliar with the amazing potential this tiny gland in their brain has to offer and are unaware that much of what we consume is actually harmful to it. The pineal gland is subject to calcification where calcium accumulates around it and renders it virtually useless. A main cause of this calcification is the fact that Fluoride is readily absorbed by the pineal gland and in turn causes the gland to lose its function. In fact, the pineal gland contains a higher concentration of fluoride than any other part of the human body. The human body contains a natural amount of Calcium Fluoride at a rate around .1ppm. Calcium Fluoride is mainly beneficial to strengthen the structures of bones and teeth among other positive functions. What many people fail to realize is that the Fluoride that is added to public drinking water, commercial beverages and toothpastes is actually a substance that is called Sodium Fluoride which is extremely deadly to humans and is linked to many illnesses including depression, althzeimer's disease and is known to specifically target and disable the functions of the pineal gland and decrease brain function in general. It is also worthy to note that Sodium Fluoride is a common ingredient in household rat poison and is actually a bi-product of hazardous fertilizer production. It is classified as toxic by both inhalation and ingestion, yet is added to municipal water supplies in a large number of countries.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium_fluoride

Studies show that any level of Fluoride that exceeds .5ppm is considered toxic to the human body. Most bottled waters will contain .1ppm which is the same amount found naturally to exist in the human body and is still significantly less than the amount that is added by municipalities (which exact levels vary). Distilled or Reverse Osmosis water would be the best choice if looking to avoid harmful fluoride.

There are also many ways to naturally extract the fluoride that has accumulated in your body with the simple balance of vitamins such as Vitamin C, Calcium, Vitamin D3 and Omega 3 that should be consumed on a daily basis. It could be as simple as starting your day with Eggs, a glass of Orange Juice and a Milk and avoiding the ingestion of fluoridated water or beverages (A large amount of commercial beverages are fluoridated without being posted on the ingredient or nutritional portion of the label).

Keeping fluoride away is only the beginning to "third eye health". A definite way to exercise your pineal gland is Meditation, something that is free of cost and does not have to be time consuming. Meditation is the only true way to be in control of one's self and has been practiced by many cultures for thousands of years. It is directly linked to spiritual encounters and experiences which are acquired though the release of DMT from the pineal gland.

Tests have shown that at least 20 minutes of exposure to natural sunlight a day increases activity in the pineal gland and is highly increased when the subject was not wearing a hat or blocking exposure in any way. Cosmic radiation has been proven to alter DNA and there are many links between the Pineal Gland, DNA and the year 2012. The Sun is essentially changing phases and ancient civilizations believed that this reflected a subsequent change in humanity... an "evolution".

There are some forms of alternative medicine that are said to also block harmful radiation received from electronic devices. Orgone Generators are used by thousands of people who are looking for a defense against EMF and RF waves which are a harmful bi-product of computers, televisions and basically any device that is plugged into a socket. By absorbing negative, dead, unnatural energy, the unique electromagnetic properties are able to transform and transmit positive Orgone energy which has scientifically proven healing powers to plants, animals and humans. Purple Tesla Plates are also a commonly overlooked defense against the negative energy that constantly bombards the pineal gland. It is essential to excercize the third eye as well as defend against harmful radiation and toxins that we consume unknowingly throughout our everyday lives and being aware of these problems is the first step to a successful solution.
